With Superbowl LI taking place in Houston this week, Slim Thug is making sure all the visiting people feel right at home with his Welcome 2 Houston project.

Dropping some time this week, Thugga enlists Kirko Bangz for the Pimp C-sampling slapper, “Addicted.”

RAEKWON – “THIS IS WHAT IT COMES TO”

As he prepares to release his seventh studio album, The Wild, Raekwon has unveiled its first single “This Is What It Comes Too” (or, “To?”).

Employing Melvin Bliss’s classic drums from “Synthetic Substitution” (which, coincidentally, Ghostface Killah used on “Mighty Healthy”), the track is vintage Rae at his Cuban Linx best. Rae described The Wild to Billboard as “hip hop in its purest form is being reinstated. You needed a taste, you needed the seasoning; relax, the Chef is here to serve you!”

With a song like this, it seems like the album is headed in the right direction. Listen to the head-nodding heat rock below. Rae’s The Wild has a new release date: March 24th.
